This issue of the Global Journal of Social Learning (GJSL) reaffirms the journal’s ongoing commitment to fostering critical scholarly discourse in the fields of social sciences, humanities, and education through a multidisciplinary approach. The five articles featured in this issue were authored or co-authored by scholars from Indonesia and Malaysia, representing diverse institutional affiliations and academic backgrounds. This issue presents interdisciplinary inquiries into education, arts, and culture, emphasizing the relationships among pedagogical practices, cultural perspectives, and knowledge development. The articles address issues such as imbalances in academic track selection, strategies for injury prevention in dance, and theoretical as well as pedagogical approaches to the preservation and teaching of traditional dance. The issue concludes with a synthesis on local wisdom and creative pedagogy in the performing arts, highlighting the role of education and the arts as contextual and sustainable cultural–educational ecosystems.
